Terms of Use
The rules and conditions for using Streamliner, streamliner.tv, and related products.
Effective date: September 27, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Streamliner (“Streamliner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing access to and use of streamliner.tv, the Streamliner studio, live overlay pages, APIs, documentation, optional Premium features, and companion software such as the Streamliner Music Magic browser extension and Streamliner Stream Deck integration (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, signing in, publishing an overlay, purchasing Premium, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Streamliner is a creative tool for live-stream graphics: stingers, camera frames, alert overlays, counters, music-driven text, and related exports. The Service includes:
- A web-based editor and project storage tied to your account.
- A public gallery of presets you may copy into your own projects.
- Browser-source overlays served at URLs such as
/o/[token]for use in OBS, Streamlabs, and similar software. - Optional connections to Streamlabs, Spotify, and a browser tab reader (via the Music Magic extension).
- Optional Stream Deck pairing and HTTP trigger endpoints.
- Cloud rendering of transparent WebM files from your projects, subject to plan limits.
- Premium, a one-time purchase that unlocks additional composition and publishing capabilities on your account.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every broadcasting setup.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use of online services) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if we have suspended or terminated your account.
3. Accounts
Registration. You may sign in with Google or email and password through Firebase Authentication (see our Privacy Policy). You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Security. Notify us promptly at privacy@streamliner.tv if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses caused by someone else using your account with your credentials.
One person, one account. Do not share accounts in a way that circumvents plan limits or abuse protections. We may refuse registration or close accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Your content and projects
Your ownership. You retain ownership of compositions, images, text, and other material you create or upload (“User Content”), subject to the licenses below.
License to Streamliner. You grant Streamliner a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and perform User Content solely to operate and improve the Service—for example to save your projects, generate previews, encode renders, serve overlay pages, sync live alert or music fields, and enforce technical and plan limits.
Responsibility. You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and use User Content in Streamliner and in your broadcasts, including rights to logos, fonts, music metadata, and likenesses you display. You are solely responsible for User Content and for compliance with platform rules (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, etc.), copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity laws.
No illegal or harmful content. You may not upload or publish content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or that promotes violence or illegal activity. We may remove content or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or pose risk to others or to the Service.
5. Published overlays, tokens, and public access
When you publish an overlay, Streamliner creates a token URL and stores data needed to render it. Anyone with the URL can view the overlay and receive live updates (alerts, counters, now playing, and similar fields you enable).
You are responsible for:
- Treating overlay URLs, Stream Deck counter ids, and trigger URLs as capabilities—similar to unlisted links or API keys.
- Not embedding secrets (passwords, private tokens unrelated to Streamliner) in trigger query strings or overlay configuration.
- What appears on stream when third-party events (for example Streamlabs donations) are shown.
We are not responsible for disclosure caused by you sharing overlay links or counter ids, or by misconfigured broadcasting tools.
6. Third-party services and integrations
The Service may link to or integrate with third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and policies, not ours. Examples include:
| Integration | Your obligations |
|---|---|
| Streamlabs | Comply with Streamlabs terms; authorize OAuth only for accounts you control. |
| Spotify | Use your own Spotify developer app where required; comply with Spotify Developer Terms and API rules. Streamliner is not affiliated with Spotify. |
| Stripe | Complete checkout under Stripe’s terms when purchasing Premium. |
| Sign-in and fonts may be subject to Google’s terms and policies. |
We do not control third-party services and are not liable for their acts, outages, or policy changes. Disconnect integrations from your Account or Music Magic settings when you no longer want data to flow.
Music Magic extension. Installing the extension is optional. By pairing it to your account, you authorize it to send now playing metadata from your audible browser tab to Streamliner as described in the Privacy Policy.
Stream Deck plugin. Pairing a device authorizes that device to call Streamliner APIs using the issued token until you revoke it.
7. Premium purchase
Price and nature. Premium is offered as a one-time purchase (currently USD $9.99 per account on the live site; sandbox/test checkout may apply in development environments). Premium unlocks features and higher limits described in the product (for example larger frame sizes, additional impacts and audio, isometric systems, music bindings, and publishing compositions that exceed free-tier limits).
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe’s terms. Charges are to the payment method you provide in Stripe Checkout. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Entitlement. Premium is tied to the Firebase account that completed checkout. It is not transferable except as we expressly allow.
Refunds. Except where required by law, all sales are final. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact privacy@streamliner.tv within a reasonable time with your account email and checkout details.
Changes. We may change Premium pricing or features for future purchases. Changes do not retroactively remove features already granted on your account unless required for legal, security, or abuse reasons.
8. Free tier and plan limits
Free accounts may use the Service within limits enforced in the editor and in security rules (for example resolution caps, impact and audio counts, and restrictions on publishing overlays that use Premium-only composition features). Attempting to bypass limits (multiple accounts, tampering with client or server requests, or misrepresenting entitlement) violates these Terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent authentication, rate limits, or Premium checks.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Use automated means to scrape the Service, overload infrastructure, or create accounts in bulk without permission.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service as a hosted product without our written agreement.
- Upload malware or interfere with other users’ access.
- Use trigger or counter endpoints to harass others or inject offensive content into overlays you do not own.
We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
10. Intellectual property of Streamliner
The Service, including the Streamliner name, logo, site design, default presets, gallery templates, documentation, and underlying software (excluding User Content), is owned by Streamliner or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or commercial streaming and content creation, in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding except as allowed by law or with our written consent.
11. Feedback
If you send suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email privacy@streamliner.tv with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work;
- Identification of the material and where it appears (for example project name, overlay URL, or account email);
- Your contact information;
- A statement of good-faith belief and accuracy under penalty of perjury; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable access to material alleged to be infringing and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STREAMLINER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that overlays will display correctly in every browser source, that encodes will complete without error, that integrations will remain available, or that the Service will meet your production requirements. You use the Service in your broadcasts at your own risk.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- STREAMLINER AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR STREAM REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STREAMLINER FOR PREMIUM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Streamliner and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your User Content, your broadcasts, your use of integrations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
Account deletion requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the Service. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
Except where prohibited, you agree that exclusive jurisdiction for disputes relating to these Terms or the Service lies in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
19. General
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Streamliner regarding the Service.
Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
