Free streaming assets for OBS
Choose stinger transitions, animated webcam frames, and stream alerts in Streamliner, then add them to your OBS setup.
Streamliner.tv is a browser-based studio for creating streaming assets. Start with a design in the gallery, customize its palette and motion, and use the result in OBS. Designs and customization are free; free output includes a Streamliner watermark. Premium removes the watermark.
Stinger transitions for scene changes
A stinger is a short animation that covers the cut between two scenes. Use one when moving between gameplay, a full-screen camera, and an intermission scene. Choose a design with a moment of full coverage so the scene change stays hidden.
In Streamliner, customize a stinger and render a transparent WebM. In OBS, add a Stinger under Scene Transitions and select the downloaded video. Set the transition point to the moment the animation covers the frame. Some families also produce a track matte, which controls how the next scene is revealed.
The stinger setup guide explains timing, track mattes, and installation in detail.
Animated webcam frames and overlays
A webcam frame adds a border around your camera while leaving the center clear. Choose colors that match your channel, then keep the center and surrounding layout readable at the size viewers actually see.
Render a frame as a transparent WebM and add it as an OBS Media Source. Enable looping for a repeating animation, position it above your camera in the source list, and align it with the camera edges. Transparency allows the camera to show through the open areas.
See project types and controls for the difference between frames, stingers, and elements.
Stream alerts and browser sources
An alert responds to activity on your stream. Unlike a looping camera border, it needs an event to tell it when to play. Streamliner alerts can use a published browser source and Streamlabs events.
Create your alert, publish its browser source, and add its URL to an OBS Browser Source. Follow the browser source guide to connect events and test the result before going live. Treat your published source URL as private.
Choosing editable graphics or a finished overlay pack
A finished overlay pack can be useful when you want a fixed, coordinated design. An editable graphics studio is useful when you want to change colors, adjust motion, or generate a new variation as your channel evolves.
Streamliner starts with presets that become editable projects. You can keep a palette while generating another variation, rather than rebuilding the design for every change. Browse the streaming asset gallery to choose a starting point.
What you need before going live
- A stinger transition if you want an animated scene change.
- A webcam frame if your layout includes a camera.
- An alert browser source if you want graphics to react to stream events.
You can use these independently. Start with the asset that improves your current setup, then test it in an OBS recording before your next broadcast.
